Swimming pool main drain covers are designed to cover the main drain and hydrostatic valve located at the bottom of your swimming pool. The hydrostatic valve prevents ground-water pressure from raising the pool out of the ground or causing movement damaging the shell of your pool so it is best to have it covered so that no swimmers can damage or adjust it without knowing.
